Deaconess

Deaconesses are to do their part in caring for the sick, the needy and the unfortunate, cooperating with the deacons in this work. The duties of the deaconess also include:

• Prepare the bread for the Lord's Supper
• Assist in the ordiance of foot-washing.
• Assist at the baptismal services ie. suitable garments for baptism are ready.
• Assist with funerals and repasts
• Train future deaconess

There is always a need for women to join the office of deaconess. If you are interested, meetings are generally held once a month on the 4th Sabbath.
